This is truly a unique home. Located in a great neighborhood on the east side, it is just a few minutes from Indiana University, IU Health Hospital, shopping and it’s just 20 minutes from historic Nashville. This is not the usual “three bedrooms/two baths down the hall” house. It is one-of-a-kind, brimming with character and charm that feels like home the minute you walk in. The front of the house was built of three courses of brick during the mid-1800s. It was completely renovated in 1950 when a modern kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms and an upstairs bedroom/office were added. It was further updated in 2016, when the entire house including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, windows, both bathrooms, and kitchen were again upgraded. The modernizing enhances the historic charm of the house making it very desirable in such a welcoming, established neighborhood. If you like large bedrooms, deep windowsills, lots of storage and a great porch to sit on in the summertime, you will want this house.
